These last few days I heard many people complain about the "new" Alfa, especially by the type of music that now plays the station, aside from its main charac ; acoustic music was present, since the 90's to new songs. Also, many people (including me completely) we blame for this change to a guy named Antonio Esquivel.
For those not familiar with this type Esquinca, spent many years at Mix 106.5 in which the slogan is "80's, 90's and more" with that last "and more" we want to imply that they also play contemporary music, but if we listen to this station by an hour, we will realize that 90% of the music they play is 80's and 90's. Well, Antonio Esquivel was the "star speaker" Mix 106.5, was every morning giving tips and ideas to people, so many began to idolize him. Meanwhile, Alfa Radio, we an incredible group of speakers who were Idzi Dutkiewicz, Daniel Salazar, Cynthia de Pando, Jari and Marianna Santiago. All was well in Alpha: Idzi and its "Carambola" in the morning was the darling of the people, Jari went to Alpha after Nigel Christopher left for personal reasons and did not have any odds Alfa n slogan as Mix 106.5, they played everything from electronic music to pop and rock, of any age.
One day he released the news that Antonio Esquivel was "retired" from the phrase, which surprised many. That's the story. But definitely a few days ago I stopped listening to the station because that's not Alfa Radio. Not even a little about what once was Alfa Radio and the people on Facebook and Twitter will not let me lie. Now everything worse by rumors that Cynthia de Pando leaves the station to enter a certain Alberto who was in Love 95.3, plus that little by little being left to play actual music to play music from the 80's and 90's.
I know what many are thinking at this time (or certainly are refreshing me on 10 May) "Why blame" Toño "Esquinca if only a speaker more? musical knowledge? I know that guy enough to deny or affirm it, but what I have to say security is that this man does not have an ounce of knowledge about what the public wants. Insurance are still wondering why most such blames the fall of Alfa, but as always the people with influence (As it surely is this kind) is unfortunately the most power in almost any company (if not all) and I'm not surprised that the output of Idzi and Daniel (and according to rumors, Cynthia) was because of this type.
think about it, Esquinca. Alfa Radio 106.5 Mix NO. Realize what you're doing, realize the thousands of listeners who are losing this incredible season will shape your way. Alfa even losing people who have been faithful to this station for years because of you. Stop wanting to be "friend and hero of all "because thanks to that you are slowly killing Alfa.
